چکیده

Abstract Purpose of Review To provide the radiologist with tools to recognize findings atypical for Graves’ ophthalmopathy and differentiate between most important common alternative causes extraocular muscle enlargement on CT MR imaging. Recent We introduce five ‘red flags’ representing features that are ophthalmopathy: unilateral disease, pattern involvement, adjacent structure restricted diffusion, absence pain. Summary About 95% cases due ophthalmopathy, other less well known recognized. The may aid in recognizing suggesting diagnoses.

Ophthalmopathy of Graves' disease: computerized volume measurements of the orbital fat and muscle.

Pixel-calibrated volume measurements of muscle and fat in the bony orbit were made from CT scans of 72 patients with Graves' disease, with and without ophthalmopathy, to define characteristic changes present in clinical subgroups. Measurement abnormalities were detected in 87% of Graves' patients with clinically detectable ophthalmopathy and in 70% of hyperthyroid patients without clinical eye ...
